openSUSE Leap is a free and Linux-based operating system for your PC or Laptop or server . You can surf the web, manage your e-mails and photos, do office work, play videos or music and have a lot of fun!Now a new stable release is here, providing the best that free and open source has to offer with our special green touch: stable, innovative and fun. Green light to freedom. This is the first release after the change in the open SUSE development mode, with a much shorter stabilization phase thanks to the extensive testing done in a daily basis in the rolling distribution used now as a base for open SUSE stable releases. The openSUSE project has announced the availability of a new beta snapshot for the project's upcoming openSUSE 42.2 "Leap" release. The new beta provides a preview of the Plasma 5.8 desktop environment along with an update to GTK, bringing the toolkit to version 3.20.9.
